Tube Dude FAQ: saving, sign-in, offline play, sound and ads

Answers to common questions about Tube Dude: where your progress is saved, moving it to another device, playing offline, sound, and how ads work.

This page collects the questions players ask most often about Tube Dude, from saving progress to what happens with ads. If yours isn't here, the contact address is at the bottom.

Is Tube Dude free?

Yes. Tube Dude is free to play in your web browser, on a phone, tablet or computer, with no download or account required. It's supported by ads. Everything in the in-game Store is bought with Commission you earn by playing, never with real money.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Open the site and play. On many phones you can also add it to your home screen from the browser's share or menu options, so it opens like an app. That's optional.

Where is my progress saved?

Your progress (levels reached, stars, Commission, Store items and settings) is saved automatically in your browser on the device you're playing on. There's nothing to press.

That has one important consequence. If you clear your browser's site data, use a private or incognito window, or switch to a different browser or device, that saved progress won't be there. The game reminds you of this now and then after a win, with a "Save progress" button.

How do I keep my progress safe or move it to another device?

Tap Sign in on the home screen. You have two choices, and both are optional:

Either way, the game keeps saving on your device as usual and keeps the backup in step. Keep a transfer code somewhere safe, because it's the key to that backup. The privacy policy explains what's stored and why.

How do I start over?

Tap Reset progress at the bottom of the home screen, then tap it again within a few seconds to confirm. It erases your levels, stars, Commission and everything you bought in the Store, and if you're signed in, the saved copy in your account too. Your sound setting stays as it was. A reset can't be undone.

Can I play offline?

Yes, after your first visit. The game stores itself in your browser once you've loaded it, so it can start even without a connection. If you go offline, a short notice tells you, and you can keep playing. Your progress saves on the device as normal, and if you're signed in, it syncs when you're back online.

How do I turn the sound off?

Use the speaker button on the home screen or during a shift. On a keyboard, press M. The game remembers your choice. Sound includes the fan, music in bonus rounds, and the honks, barks and cash register noises that come with each sale or miss.

How do I pause?

Tap the pause button in the top corner during a shift, or press P or Escape on a keyboard. From the pause screen you can resume, restart the level or go back to the main menu.

What are the keyboard controls?

Space or the Up arrow blows air, the Left and Right arrows swing the fan, and Down lets the air out. P or Escape pauses and M mutes. Mouse and touch work too: hold to blow air and drag to lean. The guide to controls and the art of the flop goes deeper.

How do ads work?

Ads are kept light so they don't get in the way of playing.

The game pauses and goes quiet while an ad plays.

Can I replay old levels?

Yes. Tap All levels on the home screen to pick any level you've unlocked. Replays are a good way to collect missing stars. The paycheck for a replay is half, but you keep all the Commission from sales.

I'm stuck on a level. What can I do?

Check the goal card and the result card, which tell you exactly what you needed. Then try a boost from the Store, such as Giant Head or Anchor Base for windy days. A Second Wind power-up adds three customers to a failed shift, and a Level Skip lets you move past the furthest level you've reached. See the store guide and how to earn three stars for more.

Does it work in dark mode?

Yes. The menus follow your device's light or dark setting. The game also respects reduced-motion settings for some effects.
